The Inner Social vs. Outer Social contrast has been elegantly expressed in other blog posts here by Drew, Martha, and Blake.

They’ve made a compelling case that the world needs a different kind of social media experience. One focused on the creative exploration and expression of the self—it’s thoughts, reflections, insights, and emotions. Musist represents this shift to that next evolution of social media—this focus on the Inner.

So I thought I’d shine a light on the other word: Social. Interaction with others. Beyond oneself. Connection. To share experiences, ideas, and emotions.

So Musist is a true social network, a global platform for musists to interact, connect, and share with one another. But share what? Interact how? Connect about what?

The Inner.

So that’s sort of the basic concept behind Musist. An app that connects people from all over the world through their desire to creatively explore and express their authentic self.
